Private Client - Harpenden
Modern Certified Passivhaus replacement dwelling in Harpenden with a stunning vaulted entrance hall and picture window with a beautiful external view into the landscaped rear garden.
This fantastic corner plot housed an outdated dwelling which was replaced with a highly energy efficient family home. The house is constructed using a prefabricated timber frame with cellulose insulation on an insulated raft foundation. The southern-facing roof slope houses a solar pv array which helps to power the house and the air source heat pump to keep the energy bills low, making the house 'gas free'.
The walls are finished with a brick skin or vertical cedar cladding and the interior has been immaculately curated by the clients around a microcement floor and stunning metal feature staircase to create a flawless family home to four humans and a dog!
